Renowned US defense attorney Robert Shapiro is to represent troubled Hollywood star Lindsay Lohan. Shapiro was among a team of lawyers who successfully defended O.J. Simpson from the charges that he murdered his ex-wife Nicole Brown in 1994.Instead of appealing Lohans 90-day jail sentence, Shapiro is reportedly to put his client in a rehab facility and remove, or reduce her jail term.Shapiro had a son who died of overdose in 2005, thus he has a lot of experience dealing with rehab facilities. He also established a foundation to help people deal with drinking and drug problems.Last week Lindsay Lohan, 24, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation in a pair of drunk driving cases.
