For the love of reading: Quetta's Bahadur Khan University holds book fair

(Dunya News) – In the fast-paced technology-driven world, reading has now become nothing short of a luxury but to revive the practice of reading Quetta’s Bahadur Khan Women University held a book fair.

A large number of students made their way to the book fair and visited stalls consisting of books on various topics ranging from history, politics, religion, fiction, to biographies and many more.

Students participated in the fair with great enthusiasm and said that in the modern world, the culture of reading was fast disappearing, but added that such book fairs encouraged everyone to befriend books once again.

Speaker Balochistan Assembly, Rahila Durrani was the chief guest at the fair. While visiting the book fair, Durrani said that, “In our times, gifting books was a great practice. However, in recent times this is disappearing. I believe we should pay more attention towards bringing back the practice by increasing the number of libraries.”

Students visiting said that such fairs helped them a lot especially in their research work, with all the books being available under one roof.
