(Web Desk) – Showcasing models offering solutions to fix Swat’s varying problems ranging from road infrastructure, electricity supply and water management, around 13, 500 students participated in the two-day Science Festival which concluded in Swat on Thursday.
Setting up over 150 stalls showcasing their creative exhibits, students from over 100 government schools participated in the festival that was held at the Khadee Hall in Saidu Sharif Swat.

Organised by Udhyaana, Deputy Commissioner Office, District Government, Swat Education Department and Pakistan Alliance for Maths and Science, the science festival concluded on Thursday.
The organisers of the event said that being the largest science festival for students in Swat, it offered various district governments across Pakistan an example to replicate such a model in their regions.

Additional Deputy Commissioner General of Faisalabad Khalid Farooka also attended the festival and met his counterparts in Swat. He discussed inter-provincial coordination and best practices for the upcoming Faisalabad Science Festival in May.
During the closing ceremony, former Member of Parliament Bushra Gohar called on local administrators to invest more in STEM education, especially for girls. Gohar encouraged teachers to help children explore various dimensions of science. Dr. Jawad Iqbal of Udhyaana requested the government to provide teachers with latest digital tools to help them improve students learning in classes in line with the most teaching techniques.
