AIOU to mark Iqbal Day with national enthusiasm

The Department of Iqbaliyat, Allama Iqbal Open University with cooperation of Rebaat-e-Iqbal has chalked out a special programme with the reference of Iqbal Day on November 9 at its Begum Nusrat Bhutto Auditorium to mark the day in a befitting manner and pay homage to the great poet who envision the idea of a separate homeland for the Muslims of subcontinent.Son of Allama Iqbal, Justice (r) Dr Javed Iqbal would be the chief guest while Professor Dr Nazir Ahmed Sangi, Vice-Chancellor, AIOU will preside over the function.Justice (r) Dr Javed Iqbal will deliver a key-not address on the idea of the national poet and philosopher Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal for a separate homeland.Justice (r) Nasira Iqbal will also express her view on “the need and importance of women education in the vision of Iqbal.Other speakers of the function comprises, The Chairman, Department of Iqbaliyat, Prof. Dr. Shahid Iqbal Kamran, Iqbal Feroz, Patron in Chief, Rebaat-e-Iqbal and Prof. Dr. Rashid A Naeem, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, AIOU.Kulyat-e-Iqbal Urdu would also be distributed amongst the participants in the Iqbal Day function.
