Summary An HEC PhD scholar at Faculty of Pharmacy & Alternative Medicine has been nominated for the prize.
Tariq Mahmood a HEC PhD scholar at Faculty of Pharmacy & Alternative Medicine Islamia University of Bahawalpur has been short listed under the category “Young Researcher” of the Lush Prize 2012.He is the only young scholar who has been nominated from whole Asia. Total 6 young scholars have been nominated for this prestigious award from all over the world including Pakistan, USA, UK, Norway, Italy and Portugal.The winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony to be held on November 15th 2012 in London. The Lush Prize is a major global initiative which focuses on toxicity testing for consumer products in a way which complements the many projects already addressing the use of animals in medical testing.He was awarded HEC indigenous scholarship demonstrated superior analytical research capabilities and soon became an expert in the area of cosmetics development, safety and efficacy. He has been able to publish his work in world reputed journals.
