Summary Begum Mehmooda Welfare Trust has launched education support programme for rural areas.

Chief Executive and Co-Founder, Begum Mehmooda Welfare Trust (BMWT), Hina Fysal has said the trust is running ‘Education Support Program’ to support deserving students.In a statement issued on Sunday, Hina announced that under this program, BMWT has targeted 100 students of rural areas of the federal capital giving them school uniforms, bags, stationery and borne the tuition fees of more than 100 students.The trust has also donated Computer Labs to two private schools of the area to ensure computer education mandatory in their syllabus. This is destined to change the mind-set of the students towards education, she added.Hina Fysal of BMWT noted that the trust aims at promoting literacy-rate in the county.At present, the trust is working on five major programs such as health improvement and medical, education, food, wedding composition and income support program in Harripur, Sangra, and Desra valley of KPK and in some urban parts of Islamabad. To-date, the trust has changed the lives of more than 500 families.
