Summary Lack of teaching staff in Model College for Girls I-8/3 has become a nuisance for girls in capital.

The college came into being 3 years before under the control of federal directorate of education but the lack of teaching staff has turned it into non-entity for the students.“On our front we are facing shortage of lecturers in key subjects and this way our curriculum activities continue to remain disrupted throughout our academic year. This state of affairs shocks us when a teacher who is hired from other college quits the college when our examination is ahead, said a group of students. The principal of the college is forced to borrow teachers from other colleges to facilitate the students. She has borrowed the teaching staff from Islamabad Model College for Girls F-7/2 and Islamabad Model College for Girls G-10/4 to meet the demands of college.“How long far this transitory arrangement will work”, a question mark deepened on the faces of students while expressing their concern over fragility of system.“Our woes have no end as we have to confront an inextricably odd situation when we see no responsible assistant on the seat meant for resolving our admission or fee related problems, Nida Hussain, a student complained. No of clerks deployed in this college is highly disproportionate to our need and our genuine problems remain shelved and our applications see the way to dustbin due to deficiency of clerical staff, complained the students. The students and their parents demanded the concerned quarter to ensure early appointment of teaching and non teaching staff to remove the shortage of staff otherwise they will be forced to shift to other colleges.
