Summary Obama has shown that he cares about education by encouraging schools to perform better
As a hardworking high school senior, I am appalled by Mitt Romney. His idea of reforming education consists of laying off teachers and creating larger class sizes. If I am in a classroom with 40 students, I know from personal experience that it becomes much harder for me to learn. President Obama has shown that he cares about education by encouraging schools to perform better, improve graduation rates and close achievement gaps.As for secondary education, everyone knows how expensive college is. Most students are not able to shop around or ask their parents for loans as out-of-touch Mr. Romney suggests we do. Many of my friends will choose their college or university based on what they can afford, regardless of any other factors. But President Obama has doubled the number of Pell grants available to college students and prevented student loan rates from doubling. If you care about my generation getting the educations we need to compete for jobs in the future, vote for the candidate who will work for an educated and work-ready country — President Barack Obama.
