Summary Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi is running without a vice chancellor for last six months.
The absence of vice chancellor in the second biggest agriculture university of Punjab has led to delay in admission of students and release of annual funds from Higher Education Commission.Sources said the finance and planning committee of the university has not met for quite some time and new plans are still waiting to be implemented.In addition to students and the staff, the situation is causing stress to teachers of the university whose salaries have been withheld due to non-availability of funds, they added.Source informed that Dr Muhammad Munir and Dr Irfan-ul-Haq were given additional charge of the vice chancellor but the post remains vacant as yet.
