Summary Dr Samar Mubarak Mand has TMF to build training institutes in Balochistan.
He said that the people of Balochistan are patriots and they welcome Pakistanis from other provinces who could join them.He was addressing to the fund raising dinner hosted by Tameer-e-Millat Foundation, a non-governmental organization working since 1987 for education uplift in the country.He urged Tameer-e-Millat Foundation (TMF) to build technical training institutes in Balochistan so that the people of Balochistan could have better opportunities for vocational and technical training to explore and utilize precious minerals like copper, gold and coal in the province for prosperity of the nation.Admiral (Retd) Iftikhar Ahmed Sarohi presided over the fund raising ceremony. Celebrated TV anchorperson, Columnist and Chairman Sach Foundation Syed Tallat Hussain anchored and moderated the ceremony.While President and Chief Executive Officer Shifa International Hospital (SIH) Dr. Manzoor H. Qazi, Chairman TMF Faqeer Muhammad Rasheed, Vice Chairperson TMF Dr. Fatima Ahmad, Syed Tallat Hussain, Senator Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Dr. Muhammad Ameen, Chairman Nazriya-e-Pakistan Council Zahid Malik and columnist Haroon Rasheed also addressed the ceremony.They, during their address, praised the mission of Tameer-e-Millat Foundation (TMF) to promote education in the remote areas of the country for the benefit of the poor and depriving people.They announced generous donations and urged others to donate for the noble cause during a fund raising dinner organized here. They also paid glowing tributes to the late Dr. Zaheer Ahmad who founded the TMF.Dr. Samar Mubarak mand stressed the need for promoting science and technology in the country to rapidly move towards high growth rate.He said the nation can come out of economic depression, poverty and unemployment through optimal exploitation of its enormous natural resources. “This will not be possible till we have large number of scientists and engineers, well versed in expertise needed in the country”, he underlined.Admiral (Retd) Iftikhar Ahmed Sarohi in his presidential address lauded the ambitious projects of TMF, specially its City of Education being built in Fateh Jang, near Islamabad.Chairman TMF Mohammad Rashid informed that TMF is currently running 450 plus schools across the country with more than 35,000 students studying there. He made a special appeal for donations to finance the upcoming TMF education complex in the federal capital.He said a 12 storey building will be built for the complex to house two secondary schools, one each for boys and girls.Vice Chairperson of TMF, Dr. Fatima Z.Ahmed highlighted the vision of her late father Dr. Zaheer Ahmed who had a passion to promote education among the poor.She expressed the resolve of the family to carry her father’s mission to new heights.
