Summary The HEC officials said that Finance Ministry has stopped their funds of Rs12.82b since four months.
According to spokesman of Higher Education Commission Nasir Shah, the Finance Ministry has not released funds allocated for last quarter since March 2112.Due to this, teachers of more than 70 universities across the country can’t be given salaries. Students of PhD would also be affected due to this mismanagement, he said.Apart from this, developmental projects approved by the HEC would also fall victim to deadlock, he concluded.
