Summary Ravian Forensic Society organized an awareness seminar against drug addiction at Government College

Ravian Forensic Society (RFS) in association with the Drug Free City Lahore has organized an awareness seminar against drug addiction at Government College University on Wednesday. Beside this walk was also arranged against the growing trends of drug addiction among Pakistani youth.While speaking at the occasion participants said that alcohol was the mother of all evils and it further proceeds to drug addiction among youth.GCU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khlaeeq-ur-Rahman, Drug Free City Lahore Project Director Altaf Qamar and RFS Advisor Dr M Akhyar Farrukh directed the walk from the university to campus.Altaf Qamar while expressing his views said that there were nine million drug addicts in Pakistan, while two million were between the age of 15 to 25 years. He further discloses that women drug addicts were more 200,000 in the country and there ratio is rapidly increasing. He said drug addiction indications are loneliness, change in eyes and skin colour and violent attitude. It is the responsibility of parents that they should check the activities of their children.
