Summary Punjab University Academic Staff Association observed strike against students torture on teacher.
The Punjab University Academic Staff Association had announced to observe strike and boycott classes against attacking VC office and students’ torture on teachers.The members of a students union had protested on Wednesday against the killing of their colleague and staged a protest rally.On Thursday, the attendance was very low in Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal campuses of University of the Punjab.According to the teachers, they will not resume curricular activities until the provision of sufficient security. Meanwhile, CCPO Lahore had also called on the VC after the untoward incident on Wednesday.It was decided during the meeting that security of the university would be increased while a large number of police force has been deployed at the entry and exit points of Punjab University.
