Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed Vice Chancellor to carry out an investigation over the alleged distribution of laptops on political grounds.The order has been given over a petition filed by a student of Government College University.During the hearing, the petitioner regretted that the Punjab government distributed laptops on political grounds instead of merit due to which he was unable to get a laptop despite being eligible for the award.Directing Vice Chancellor to carry out an inquiry into the case, the court directed the Vice chancellor to compensate the petitioner if the investigation favors him.The petition was heard by Justice Umar Ata Bandial at Lahore High Court.
