KARACHI (Dunya News) – An alleged ringleader of an extortion gang was killed in an exchange of fire with police here on Sunday.
According to SSP Central, weapons and bullets were recovered from the possession of the suspect identified as Bilal. The accused was a very important commander and active shooter of the extortion gang.
He was involved in firing and spreading fear for extortion. Police said Bilal also provided financial support to the gang through extortion. The suspect was involved in a shooting at a sweets shop on August 10, in which a police officer and two passersby were injured.
He demanded extortion money from an owner of an under-construction project in Firozabad. When the extortion was not received, the accused opened fire on the owner.
