Karachi: Water Board officials demolish illegal water hydrant, arrest two during raid

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Water Board officials demolished an illegal water hydrant and arrested two accused during a raid in Ahsanabad.

On the direction of Provincial Minister for Local Government Nasir Hussain Shah, Anti-Theft Cell Karachi Water, while conducting operation on Super Highway Ahsanabad, demolished an illegal water hydrant and arrested two accused.

According to Rashid Siddiqui, in-charge of the cell, water was being supplied to the industrial area by stealing from the 84-inch line of the water board. Millions of rupees were being made monthly by stealing water.

During the operation, motors, pipes and suction pumps on illegal hydrant were confiscated.
