IG Punjab directs DPOs to personally oversee action against Section 144 violations

LAHORE (Dunya News) – On directions of Inspector General (IG) Punjab Shoaib Dastagir, police conducted raids against hoarders and registered 2454 FIRs against Section 144 violations. .

According to details, police took timely action against violations of section 144, which was imposed by provincial government in a bid to stop spread of coronavirus.

Police registered 88 cases against hoarders and 2454 cases against Section 144 violations.

IG Punjab has directed DPOs to personally oversee action against violations of section 144. He also directed to supply face masks, hand sanitizers and other safety equipment to all field officers.
