SARGODHA (Dunya News) – A suspect in multiple murder and robbery cases who had escaped police custody with help from his accomplices has allegedly been killed in a police shootout on Friday.
According to details, this was the second police shootout in Sargodha in the past 24 hrs, in which the suspected robber was gunned down. In another incident yesterday, murder and robbery suspect Riaz Talukud was killed while trying to escape police custody.
Police officials said that the accused Saleem was being transported by Satellite Town police through Chak-40 Northern Bypass where the accused’s accomplices ambushed the police party.
The suspects managed to free Saleem and escape the police but were later rounded up by the in-pursuit police. The suspects and the police exchanged fire resulting in the accused Saleem died on the spot. The deadbody has been moved to DHQ Sargodha.
