SIALKOT (Dunya News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed on Sunday to have averted a major terrorism plan by arresting two men belonging to the proscribed organization.
Heavy arsenal including safety fuse and detonators were recovered from terrorist’s possession. CTD said the terrorists belong to a banned organization and stayed at Haji pura for a terror activity.
CTD officials said Hafiz Muhammad Abu Bakar and Hafiz Muhammad Yousaf were arrested on the basis of an intelligence-based operation (IBO) by a team of the CTD and other law-enforcement agencies.
CTD said 410Kg explosive material was recovered from their possession. A case was registered against the suspects, who were shifted to an undisclosed place.
