Summary No evidence of police encounter was found during CTD’ investigation
KARACHI (Dunya News) – CTD have recorded the statements of detained police officials who were allegedly involved in the killing of a minor boy during a police encounter. CTD could not find any proof of police encounter rather it was a quarrel between the security officials.
In a tragic incident earlier, Karachi’s Muhammad Ahsan, 1.5 travelling in a rickshaw was killed during a police encounter. The relatives alleged that he became a victim of police firing at University road.
CTD sources revealed that no evidence of police encounter was found during CTD’ investigation. Sources further said there was a dispute between Abdul Smad and Amjad that forced Amjad to open a fire. The bullet cover found also belongs to Amjad’s ammunition.
Karachi: CTD arrest police officials involved in killing of minor
CTD said in case of police encounter there must be a two way firing that did not happen in this case. Also no one witnessed a police encounter in surroundings, CTD added.
It was also revealed that SHO Shachal Javed Abro tried to hide the facts in this case.
