Summary special teams were constituted by DIG (Operations) to arrest drug pushers involved in drug smuggling

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Islamabad Police Wednesday nabbed two persons of an inter- provincial gang allegedly involved in ice smuggling and recovered 420 gram ice from their possession, a police spokesman said.

Following directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, he said special teams were constituted by DIG (Operations) Waqar Uddin Syed to arrest drug pushers involved in drug smuggling.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Muhammad Umer Khan constituted special teams of Khanna police to ensure arrest of those involved in narcotics smuggling.

Khanna Police teams succeeded to bust two members of inter-provincial gang involved in ice smuggling.

They were identified as Karman s/o Malang Khan resident of Mohmand Agency and Haji Gul s/o Mirza Khail resident of Karkhan Jamrud Road Peshawar.

Police team recovered 420 gram ice worth Rs126,000,0 from their possession.

Case has been registered against them and started further investigation.

DIG (Operations) Waqar Ud din Syed has appreciated this overall performance, he said adding it is the prime responsibility of police to curb drug pushing activities and every possible effort would be made to ensure it.

Following directions and guidance of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar, he said utmost efforts would be made to curb crime.

The DIG has urged all police officials for professional attitude in policing affairs and said sluggish attitude would not be tolerated.
