Summary Maternal uncle of Saira and Asia along with his friends threw acid on the girls.
GUJRAT (Dunya News) – As many as three female students of University of Gujrat (UOG) were doused in acid today (Thursday).
The victims, identified as Saira Umar Daraz, Asia Umar Daraz and Huma Younis, were immediately shifted to the hospital in a critical condition.
According to police, Saira and Asia’s maternal uncle along with his friends threw acid on the girls. One of the suspects has been arrested, officers told.
Meanwhile, inspector general of Punjab has taken notice of the incident and sought report from DPO Gujrat in 24 hours.
