KARACHI (Dunya News) – Despite multiple tall claims, the illicit practices of selling meat of expired animals and dripping [oil that drips from excess meat] is augmenting in Karachi’s Cattle Colony.

“The clandestine practices of selling meat of expired animals and dripping are being run under firm tutelage of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC)”, the owners of dairy farms told our correspondent.

According to details garnered, Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar announced yesterday that stern action would be taken against all those involved in aforementioned activities.

According to a rough estimate, at least 300 animals die per day in one of the biggest cattle markets in Asia yet there is not proper system to dispose the animals’ carcasses.
