DADU (Daily Dunya) – Police officers on Friday have arrested as many as five people including a cleric for holding marriage of a five year-old girl with a 15-year-old boy in Dadu.
According to details, a betting man lost Rs 40,000 to teenager Shahid in gambling and promised to perform marriage of his minor daughter with the boy as compensation.
However, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shabbir Ahmed with his team raided Shahid’s home and detained him, a cleric and other three people.
Moreover, the security personnel have lodged a case under Child Marriage Act.
