OGHI (Daily Dunya) – Police officers detained 11 members of jirga along with Nikkah Khawan in Vani case in Oghi’s Mulhar village.

According to the security officers, the suspects were apprehended for declaring two girls as Vani and performing their marriages against their will.

Station House Officer said the locals of Rahmkot illegally arrested Mohammad Naeem on Sunday night when he was busy in suspicious activities.

He said the jirga decided that one girl will marry Naeem while his sister will tie knot with one Rahmkot’s local to settle an honour-related case.

Arriving at the scene, police arrested jirga members Imran, Abdul Karim, Ali, Saeed, Shahnawaz, Ejaz, Shabbir, Abdul Aziz, Fazal, Maqbool, Zia, Irshad, Munir, Rizwan, Faiz, Shfique, Imran, Sadhir, Tahir and Munir whereas five suspects managed to flee.
