Summary FIA report reveals most of the affectees of cyber crime cases were women and children
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The rise in electronic and cyber crimes is indeed a pain in the neck for the authorities as no substantial efforts in this regard is also adding fuel to the fire.
Reports are filed on daily basis of incidents such as fraud, treachery, sharing of sensitive and basic information sharing, obscene messages and inappropriate use of online photos and which is an alarming situation.
One of the recent reports of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) reveals that most of the affectees of such cases were women and children who were harassed and blackmailed through various social networks.
Additional Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Dr. Shafeeq admitted that despite the existence of cyber crimes laws and regulations, no implementation in true sense has been made. He expressed that a need for carrying out arrests on breaking these rules is essential.
