GUJARAT (Dunya News) – Influential people on Thursday hanged a man upside down from a tree on a theft suspicion in Gujarat.
Victim Zahid Iqbal, who is a resident of Chakwal, pleaded for mercy but the people didn’t listen to him.
He said that he came to visit a tomb and was grabbed by enraged mobs who alleged him of stealing money from the donation box.
The locals also tortured him with wooden sticks and shoes for three hours after which they release the man due to his critical condition.
The police personnel were as usual absent from the scene.
