Summary Anti-smuggling squad has foiled a trafficking attempt of 22 cars in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Criminal elements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) have found new way of smuggling cars from Japan legally.
According to details, the smugglers import cars in the form of scrap and then join their parts to reshape them in the tribal areas.
The interesting thing is that the VIN numbers of such cars are also not demolished despite strict orders to Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
On the other hand, anti-smuggling squad has foiled a trafficking attempt of 22 cars in Islamabad and Rawalpindi after which this mega scandal surfaced.
The customs officers of KP are also involved in this crime while a truck full of scraps was also recovered from KP Chief Minister’s constituency.
