LAYYAH (Dunya News) – Influential landlord on Thursday brutally tortured a labourer for barring him from harassing a woman in Layyah.
According to details, feudal lord Chaudhry Javed tied his own servant Nazeer Ahmed with a tree and asked the children to hurl shoes and stones at him which severely injured him.
The implacable landowner also forced the victim to remain hungry for 24 hours.
Getting the information about the incident, police personnel arrived at the scene and shifted the affectee to the hospital for treatment.
According to DPO Captain (ret) Muhammad Ali Zia, Nazeer had harsh words with influential feudal lord who was caught harassing his wife. He said that the culprits have been identified and will soon be arrested.
Police officers lodged a case to investigate the whole event while Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Shehbaz Sharif has also taken notice of the incident and summoned report from the concerning department.
