ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – High court has ordered registration of a criminal case against three doctors for advising patient to abort pregnancy over false reports, Dunya News reported Wednesday.
Victim named Urooj Nisar maintained before Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddique’s court that Dr Noshba of a private medical centre had warned her of fatal consequences if fetus developed further.
Dr Shamsa Rizwan prescribed medicines and injections for the purpose, she added.
However, Nisar said that she was told after checkup from another clinic that the fetus was normal, in fact she was told about twins. False reports of the doctors led to her abortion of normal babies, she alleged.
The court, on petitioner’s request ordered registration of a case against the alleged culprits.
