KARACHI (Dunya News) – Five officers of Counter terrorism Department (CTD) were suspended on Friday for involvement in citizens’ kidnapping for ransom.
Police have also identified nine informants of the suspects.
The officers include sub-inspector Shabbir Hussain, sub-inspector Shaukat Awan, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Qalandar Baksh, ASI Allah Baksh and constable Jahangeer.
Senior Superintendant Police (SSP) Amir Farooqi has said that investigation is underway from the officers whereas legal action will also be taken against them.
Besides this, the CTD office in Saudabad has also been shut down on public complaints.
