Summary Suspects revealed that they used to bring the diesel from Hub, Balochistan.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Customs and police officials on Friday thwarted an attempt to smuggle Iranian diesel during joint action in Kemari and recovered 40,000 litres of the oil. Three suspects including the manager were arrested while supplying Iranian diesel to a private petrol pump company.
According to the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kemari Bilal Qayyum, the 2 suspects, with the help of the manager, used to deliver the oil into the tank of the petrol pump after which it was sold as normal diesel.
Arrested felons have confessed to the police that they had been supplying diesel to the company for the past 2 months. The suspects revealed that they used to bring the diesel from Hub, Balochistan. The perpetrators also revealed that the diesel was transported to Karachi during the night time when Rangers and police contingents were not present.
ASP Qayyum informed that the suspects along with the manager have been handed over to the Customs officials.
