MULTAN (Dunya News) – Local attempting to travel to Saudi Arabia using forged passport has been apprehended by Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) at Multan airport, Dunya News reported Wednesday.
Galgasht area’s local named Faisal Nawaz was enroute to Madina on a private airlines flight.
The CAA personnel carried out routine security check and clearance before boarding and arrested Nawaz. The local has been shifted to Cantonment Police Station for investigation.
The police have said that a case would be registered against the violator.
Earlier on January 12, Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a smuggle bid worth crores of Rupees from Rawalpindi to Doha at Islamabad airport.
A passenger named Shahid was detained as the personnel riffled through his bags and seized one Kilogram (Kg) heroine. During interrogation, the culprit revealed that there were as many as 800 heroin capsules in his stomach.
Shahid was reportedly from Charsadda District and was trying to smuggle the narcotics to Doha.
Separately, on December 22, 2015, the ANF had foiled an attempt of smuggling heroin worth millions to Saudi Arabia from the federal capital.
Security officers stopped a Kotli native identified as Fazal Daad for checking at the counter after which the personnel confiscated one kilogram of high quality heroin worth millions from the hand bag of the suspect.
