Summary FIA arrested group involved in human trafficking via Turkey, 2 of its victims died on Iran border
FAISALABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has on Monday arrested a group involved in human trafficking along with its head. The group was involved in human trafficking into Europe via Turkey. 2 of the victims of the group had died on the Iran-Pakistan border, reported Dunya News.
The highly wanted group, led by the suspect named Shahbaz, sold dreams of sending youngsters to Europe. The suspects had sent a group of young men last month to Iran from where they had to enter Turkey and then into Europe. 2 young lads, Khurram and Yousaf, left for Europe on August 22 and died of suffocation in the container on their way. Khurram’s father demanded justice.
FIA registered the case and started investigations. Today, all three suspects of human trafficking, named Shahbaz, Irshad and Shahzad, were arrested.
According to FIA officials, other aides of the smugglers are still being looked for.
