Summary Armed men opened fire on the prisoners while they were walking towards a police van.
SUKKUR (Online) - As per details, In Rohri, prisoners of Central Jail No. 2 of Sukkur, Rahim Bakhsh Jaffery and Mujahid Babu were produced in civil court in the case of holding illegal weapons.
Armed men in car and motorcycle sudden opened fire on them when they were about to enter in the police prison van. Resultantly Rahim Bakhsh Jaffery died on the spot while Mujahid Babu was severely injured.
Police personnel, on listening the firing followed the accused and arrested one amongst them while all others fled from the scene.
Arrested man belongs to Mehar Family and incident is being reported as the result of old enmity. Dead body of the victim has been handed over to the family members after the post mortem.
According to last details police has not registered FIR of the incident yet.
