KARACHI (Online) - The decision of imposing ban on the pillion riding has not produced any better results in decreasing the ratio of crimes in the city as 90% of the crimes have been reported by the criminals using the pillion riding.
According to reports, as the ban on pillion riding in the city is going to complete its four months now, questions are being raised about its effectiveness in view of the failure of law-enforcement agencies to curb targeted killings, in most cases carried out by armed riders, as figures show that more than 850 people were killed during the last three months.
The purpose of imposing the ban was to decrease the crime rate but the required purpose has not been achieved so far and on the other hand, common people suffer from the availability of pillion riding.
