Summary Quack attempted sexual assault and threw acid on her in his clinic in Wan Bachchran.
LAHORE (Online) - Lahore High Court on Tuesday took notice of the news published in a section of press regarding sexually assault and throwing acid on 65-years-old woman by a quack at Wan Bachchran.
District & Sessions Judge, Mianwali has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
According to details, the victim felt pain in her legs and was taken to Abdus Sattar who ran a pain relief clinic in Lorry Adda.
The quack took her inside a room where he tied both her hands and sexually harassed her. When the victim tried to flee, he threw acid on her back and fled away. The husband and son of the victim heard her scream and broke into the room.
They found her injured. They took her to hospital where doctors said that 50 per cent of her back had been affected. The family alleged that they had approached the police station several times but the police did not register their complaint.
According to news report, after two days of the incident, police registered a complaint against said quack after woman’s family protested in front of the police station. Police was looking for the suspect.
LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
