Puerto Rico officials seize $24M worth of cocaine

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - Authorities in Puerto Rico say they have seized $24 million worth of cocaine aboard a boat just south of the U.S. territory.

 

U.S. Attorney Rosa Emilia Rodriguez said Tuesday that the more than 1,500 pounds (680 kilograms) of cocaine was bound for the U.S.

 

She said three suspects from the Dominican Republic were arrested on a boat detected by a U.S. Coast Guard about 100 miles (160 kilometers) south of Puerto Rico.
