ISLAMABAD (Online): Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has busted a gang of international human traffickers involved in sending simpleton people abroad through unfair means after taking millions of rupees from them.
The FIA under the directive of its Deputy Director Nasar Ullah Gondal stared a countrywide operation against the illegal recruiting agents, during which the agency apprehended an important member of the gang Nooran Shah on Thursday.
On the tip-off the accused , several raids were conducted under the supervision of Deputy Director who along with his team arrested three notorious agents including Muhammad Jan, Momin Ali and Mujtaba Hussain.
The swindle gang was busy in making big money by sending Hazara community in Quetta to Australia via Malaysia and Indonesia through illicit ways. They sent 152 people from Hazara community last year after taking Rs 8.6 million from them, but unfortunately out of these some 94 men drowned while crossing Australian border on June 21, 2012.
The gang used obsolete boats for dispatching people from Indonesia and Malaysia to Australia.
According to sources, the bunch of outlaw has been completely razed as all of its members were arrested.
It is pertinent to mention here that due to illegal human trafficking, Pakistan is being maligned and several countries have shown their reservations with the government on the situation.
