Summary Bangladesh Cricket Board chief said that international cricket will return to Pakistan soon.
BCB chief Mustafa Kamal while addressing a press conference along with Interior Minister Rehman Malik in Islamabad said Bangladesh in hopeful for revival of international cricket in Pakistan.He said that both the countries enjoy cordial relationship and Pakistan has played an important role in the International Cricket Council for Bangladesh.On the same event, Interiro Minister Rehman Malik assured that the Bangladeshi team would be provided with foolproof security.The nine-member team will evaluate security arrangements ahead of Bangladeshs proposed tour in April for three one-day internationals, invited by a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) determined to revive international cricket.Mr Kamal has expressed hope that the matters would proceed positively with time andalso invited Rehman Malik and PCB chief to visit Bangladesh.PCB is hoping that the Bangladeshis will clear the visit of its national team to Pakistan as country’s stadiums have not witnessed international cricket since 2009, after an attack by terrorists on the bus of Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore.The attack suspended international cricket in the country, stripped Pakistan of its 2011 World Cup hosting rights and forced it to play home series at neutral venues in England, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates.
