HARARE (Dunya News) – Pakistan on Monday registered a convincing six-wicket victory over Scotland in the 12th match of the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup, chasing down the target with ease at the Takashinga Sports Club.
Pakistan’s Under-19 side successfully overhauled Scotland’s total of 187, reaching 188 for four in 43.1 overs. Usman Khan led the chase with a composed 75, anchoring the innings and keeping the scoreboard ticking. Ahmed Hussain provided solid support with 47, while Sameer Minhas contributed 28 and Ali Hassan Baloch added 15. Captain Farhan Yousaf remained unbeaten on 18, ensuring a smooth finish for his side.

Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and opted to field, a decision that paid dividends as their bowlers kept Scotland under pressure throughout the innings. The Scottish team were bowled out for 187 in 48.1 overs, failing to build sustained partnerships despite a few resistance efforts in the middle order.
Scotland’s openers struggled to settle, with Theo Robinson dismissed for four and Rory Grant scoring 21. Finlay Carter managed 12, while Max Chaplain was out for two. Ollie Jones top-scored with 36, providing some stability, while captain Thomas Knight scored 37. Finlay Jones added 33 runs, but the lower order could not capitalise.
For Pakistan, Ali Raza was the standout bowler, claiming four wickets, while Momin Qamar picked up three, effectively restricting Scotland to a below-par total on the surface.
