DHAKA (Web Desk) – The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has removed board director Nazmul Islam from his position, issuing an official statement on the matter.

According to the BCB, the decision was taken by the board president after reviewing recent developments and in the best interests of the game. The move comes in the wake of controversy following a statement by Nazmul Islam.

The BCB also confirmed that players will take part in the Bangladesh Premier League, ensuring the tournament stays on track. Earlier, Bangladesh players had boycotted BPL matches after the remarks made by the former director, bringing the league to a standstill.

The board said the decision aims to put the issue to rest and help restore normalcy in domestic cricket.
