LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Pakistan Test cricketer Mohammad Ilyas breathed his last on Monday. He was father-in-law of former cricketer Imran Farhat.

According to reports, Mohammad Ilyas was admitted to a local hospital a few days ago for treatment, where he underwent surgery. The 79-year-old former cricketer was suffering from cancer.

Mohammad Ilyas represented Pakistan in 10 Test matches and also played 82 first-class matches. He also served as Chief Selector of the Pakistan Cricket Board and headed the national selection committee, the junior selection committee, and the women’s cricket selection committee.
