LAHORE (Dunya News) – In a compelling display of consistency and resilience, Pakistan claimed the 2025 Tri-Nation T20 Series title in Rawalpindi by defeating Sri Lanka by six wickets, securing a historic milestone in national cricket.

Under the leadership of Salman Ali Agha, the team set a new record for the most T20 international wins in a calendar year, registering 21 victories. Pakistan achieved the target of 115 runs in the 19th over of the match, losing four wickets in the process.

Sri Lanka, batting first, managed to post 114 runs, failing to build momentum against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack. Mohammad Nawaz shone brightly throughout the tournament and was declared both Player of the Match and Player of the Series for his all-round brilliance.

The latest triumph completed a remarkable year for Pakistan, with the team playing 34 T20 internationals in 2025, winning 21 and losing 13. This surpassed their previous record of 20 victories in 2021. In earlier years, Pakistan had secured 17 wins in 2018 and 14 in 2022.
