A prison cricket team has lost its two star players -- shamed Pakistani Test aces Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif. The two cricketers, jailed for deliberately bowling no-balls in a Test as part of a betting racket, held training sessions and mock matches with a tennis ball in the exercise yard during their time at Wandsworth Prison. Now Asif, 28, who was jailed for a year, and Butt, 27, sentenced to two-and-a-half years, have been moved to the “cushy” Category C Canterbury Prison in Kent.A source said: “The team were gutted when they were told Butt and Asif had been shipped out.“The pair created a real buzz. Now that they have gone, the cricket team just isn’t the same.”
