India has dropped batsman Yuvraj Singh from the squad for the third and final test against the West Indies to be played in Mumbai from Tuesday.Yuvraj was replaced by Rohit Sharma in the only change to Indias 15-man squad announced Thursday.India took a decisive 2-0 lead in the three-game series by winning the first game in New Delhi by five wickets last week and the second in Kolkata by an innings and 15 runs on Thursday.Yuvraj, man of the series in this years World Cup, failed to cement a place in the test team after scores of 23 and 18 in New Delhi and 25 in Indias only innings in Kolkata.Yuvraj did not appear comfortable against the West Indian pace bowlers but captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was defending his performance just hours before the team announcement.Yes, he is going through a tough phase but its important to show confidence in him, Dhoni told reporters. We all know he is talented and has played really well against top bowlers in other formats and can do well in tests too.Dhoni said Yuvraj had it in him to get big runs.Getting hit on the body, I dont think, has anything to do with his performance here.
