Summary Sialkot Stallions and Rawalpindi Rams stormed into the final of the National Twenty20 Cup.
The semi-finals of National Twenty20 Cricket Cup were played at the National Stadium Karachi.Sialkot Stallions beat Lahore Eagles by six wickets in the first semi-final of the day. Batting first Lahore Eagles managed 167 runs. Imran Farhat was top scorer with 73 runs and was ably supported by Taufeeq Umar, who contributed 33 runs. Shoaib Malik and Rana Naved grabbed two wickets each for Sialkot team.In reply Sialkot Stallions reached the target for the loss of just four wickets. Captain Shoaib Malik led from the front and played a hurricane knock of 88 (not out). He was also declared man of the match for his all-round performance.In the second semi-final, Rawalpindi Rams defeated Peshawar Panthers by 77 runs. Batting first Rawalpindi team scored 168 runs. Umar Ameen (30), Sohail Tanvir (26) and Naved Malik (25) batted well for Rawalpindi. In reply Peshawar Panthers were bundled out for just 91 runs. Umar Amin and Hamad Azam bowled well for Rawalpindi Rams and grabbed three wickets each.The final of the National Twenty20 Cup between Sialkot Stallions and Rawalpindi Rams will be played today.
