Afridi says only batters with over 135 strike rate will make it to T20s

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Interim Chief Selector Shahid Afridi made it clear on Monday the players with a strike rate of less than 135 in T20 will not be included in the team.

Speaking on a private TV program, Mr Afridi said, “As a selector, I am having an eye on all the players of the Pakistan cricket team. I was not satisfied with the Karachi Test pitch. I wished that there should be a bouncy track.

Talking about his role, Mr Afridi said keeping everyone happy while in office was a difficult task.

Speaking on his communication with the players, Mr Afridi said, “I am in direct contact with the players”.

Giving his take over the communication gap, Mr Afridi said when there was a lack of communication in the dressing team, then other people were likely to take advantage of the situation.
