Pakistan gave tough time to us, admits Tim Southee

KARACHI (Web Desk) - New Zealand skipper Tim Southee admitted on Friday Pakistan gave tough time to his side.

Mr Southee was speaking at a press conference following the first Test match, expressed surprise at Pakistan skipper Babar Azam s decision to declare the innings.

Speaking about the problems faced by the Kiwis’ bowlers, Mr Southee said that the pacers were facing difficulties in these conditions.

Mr Southee praised spinner Ish Sodhi s efforts, saying that making a comeback was a difficult task, but he [Sodhi] bowled exceptionally well.

Saying that his team was not able to chase the target due to the bad light, Mr. Southee praised Williamson for his outstanding display with the bat.
