Summary England should concentrate on sweeping the Test series, advises Naseer Hussain
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Former English cricketer Naseer Hussain advised on Thursday the visitors to make every effort to win the three-match Test series against Pakistan rather than selecting a team with the Ashes next summer in mind.
Speaking ahead of the third Test match, Mr Hussain said, “We are 2-0 up, we will give people a chance so I don t think England will make a mistake., "If you play for England, you earned that cap, not so they can take a look at you.”
"You must keep in mind where England was with only one victory in 17 Test matches six months ago and how they have improved. Have the same outlook. Don t consider The Ashes or New Zealand, who they will face in February”, he added.
A week after winning the series opener in Rawalpindi, England defeated Pakistan in the second Test on Monday in Multan to win the match and the series.
England will be aiming for their ninth victory in 10 games under the captaincy of Ben Stokes.
